Mozart's 2024 PCT Thru-Hike

Today we had a long 23 mile day. The elevation has been easier since we left Yosemite but 23 miles is 23 miles.

The morning views were wonderful with volcanic rock poking through the ground displaying the years of erosion. Sonic has seemed to enjoy being apart of our group and it’s awesome to have a Kiwi around.

We’ve entered what seems to be NorCal. Exposed views with rolling hills around us and mountains in the distance. In the afternoon, we noticed a side trail that led to a peak called ‘The Nipple’ and there was no shot we were missing that. Sure enough, from far away it had the resemblance of a nipple. It was a .3 mile climb up and had a geo cache so we all wrote a quick poem and parted ways.

We camped early so we managed to get a fire going and now we’re in bed early for a big day tomorrow.

Happy trails….

I remember those exact views. Around Lake Tahoe, right? I'm really enjoying following along.
