Today we woke up at...drumroll...2:30! We got up, packed up super quick, and were hiking by 3. It took about 45 minutes to hike the 1.5 miles up to the base of San Luis, the 14er. It was cold and windy. We dumped everything out of our packs and just brought sleeping bags and some clothes. We hiked up. It took about an hour. Our friends all came too. We got up there at 5 and the sun didn’t rise until 6. It was freeeeezing Finally the sun started to rise and it was gorgeous. We took some pictures and headed down at 7ish. It was a super challenging day because it was so hilly and we stopped a little while later and also waited out some rain. We only did 13 miles including the 14er because there wasn’t camping for another 10 miles and it was pretty late to do 10 more. We had food, played 20 questions, and went to bed.
