9/12/21 Awoke early to watch the sunrise from Rainbow Lake Dam to Mount Katahdin. Beautiful !! Walked by Rainbow Stream and it’s cascades. Walked by Pollywag Stream and Crescent Pond. Climbed Nesuntabunt Mountain(1,550 ft) and slipped on a rock landing on my right hip and hand. No issues but broke my new trekking pole. Only did 10.2 miles was going to get more miles in but Mark was tired and wanted to stay at the Wadleigh Stream Lean-to. Only 1,344 feet ascended and 1,711 descended.Weather was perfect except for 15 minute rain shower in the AM.
