Packing up to hit the road and start hiking the Ozark Highlands Trail. Heading east from Lake Fort Smith.

Conditions are supposed to be pretty good. Projected highs in the low 70s, projected lows in the mid 30s. There will be a couple days of rain.

The leaves are already off the trees, meaning better views, more sun, and softer campsites.

We're going to try to hit the trail right at sun-up.
