Zero day in Steamboat Springs with my wife.

No pictures today.

A fantastic zero day. The condo has a washing machine and dryer. My wife had brought detergent and other little items hikers need in town. So some ‘little’ things taken care of.

One funny incident to tell. We went into town for lunch and found a diner that looked good, but was busy. We put our name on the list and waited outside. There was only room for a couple of us to sit outside to wait. One of the outside diners suddenly said, “Hey Feral, you can sit with us.” Feral was recognized by a follower of his YouTube! He was stunned, and had a nice conversation with him and his wife. We now chide him for being famous.

BTW: my wife and mother-in-law fixed both breakfast and supper for all of us. Thank you!

Other town chores also completed. Our plan is to continue the road walk from the border to the town of Encampment/Riverside, WY (they adjoin each other) and hike up to Battle Pass from there to rejoin the CDT.
