Today we woke early at the fire station and started moving. My arches were really hurting. The hike was super mild and easy but I had to stop every 3-4 miles. I kept rolling my arches out and trying to help them. I definitely have fasciitis but I know I can work through it if I’m careful.
The day got hot quickly. We hitched a ride around the closure which was about 25 trail miles of trail. We hiked the remaining 6 over to hiker town and I was immediately greeted with a cold blue Powerade. HikerTown was a weird but fun place for use hikers to hang out. We went down the street to the market where we all ate food. I had a massive burrito, a maté, a large orange Powerade, and an ice cream cookie sandwich.
We got a ride and headed back to hikertown where we decided to cowboy camp until around 3am when we plan to do the aqueduct. What a fun day. I’m very happy to be out here.
