I woke this morning at the cabin after a warm night in a bed. We got coffee, had bagels, and hit the trail. Boujee and hit sat and drank coffee for a while before starting the trail. My pack was so light because I only have 2 days of food in it. I headed up the trail for easy climbing and great views. Before I knew it I had done 7 miles and was at our first water. We had to climb a steep .3 down to get it. The water was fresh and cold. Thin Mint, Boujee, and I breaked for about an hour.

The climb after our break was very long and steep but I felt strong. It wasn’t too bad. I only stopped once to let the rattlesnake go ahead of me on the trail but otherwise I kept a good pace. 3.5 miles in we found a great shady spot and took a 2 hour break. We did one last push for camp. We went over 7000ft and it was gorgeous. Lush green meadows with tall pines and gorgeous views of Jacinto. I thought it was the prettiest we’ve seen yet.

We got to camp and all cooked together and had a great chat. We have been doing the Rose, Thorn, and Bud game where we talk about good, bad, and what we are looking forward to. It was a nice way to end the night. I’m warm in my tent. I can tell it’ll be a chilly night.
