Day 50

Day50. 9.1 miles to Clyde Smith Shelter. Woke up at 4am to howling wind, made us a little nervous due to all the previous storm damage. We broke camp quick and then set off. There were a lot of blow downs and root ball issues to navigate but it was fine. We had a nice lunch and then made it to the shelter in early afternoon. Time to enjoy some sun, get organized and stretch. Today we could see Roan Mountain looming in the distance, our next big challenge!
