The THL is a contemporary lodge with a basement bunkhouse and private (2)/semi-private rooms. We are an ideal respite for Zero Day single and 6-10 group hikers. Families doing section hiking will find us fabulous due to the amenities of our mountain village community. We provide an innkeeper on-site support services (trailhead p/u and drop, refit runs and communal meals) for additional fees. THL'S PRESENTING AT THE ATKO, AMICALOLA STATE PARK
Hi, Hikers! Welcome to the kick-off of the 2023 AT thru-hiker season. The THL has met many of you and wished you well on your 2198.4 2023 AT trek. We will be presenting in the conference on the benefits and considerations of Platinum Hiking and LASH planning. We built out a few slides to support our presentation and look forward to your participation in the discussion. We KICKOFF our presentation at the Amicalola Falls State Park in the basement conference room. Here we go.....!!!
THL KICKING OFF THE SEASON...ATKO at Amicalola State Park, GA...3-5 MAR 2023
Greetings fellow A-T Trekkers! The Trail Headlodge is establiishing its annual OUTPOST at the Amicalola State Park Hotel and Conference center as part of the A-T Kickoff event from 03 - 05 MAR 2023--THIS WEEKEND. I will be manning the Table in the vendors area of the hotel. I looking to meet as many of my future Trailkin as possible. We are here to help you plan your best Zero, be your VORTEX shelter, or help you LASH-up to best L-O-N-G weekend ever! Come see us and remember---The Adventure Begins at the Trail Head Lodge. LASH Support Send-off
THL support to 3 x Section Hikers headed Southbound. Hikers used the Lodge for initial linkup on 29 Oct 2021 and rested-overnight. THL provided ground vehicular transport to Wolf Laurel Private Big Bald/AT entrance. Further, THL provided 'walk-on' release of group to the AT at the Big Bald elevation marker. Hello Hikers...all types and directions (NB, SB, FLIP-FLOP, LASH) welcome.... The Trail Head Lodge will be open for business the week after the AT Kick-off in Amicalola State Park, 3-5 Mar 2023. We are a full hospitality Lodge--not a Hostel---we'll pick you up for an overnight, create a slack-pack section run or help make your NERO a ZERO. We do the laundry and more... and you do the REST! Representative Lodge and Room Photos provided. Rates can be negotiable and we prefer Trail family groups. We have a bunk room and private and semi-private rooms.... and we are dog friendly.
