I learned about AT and thru-hiking in the late 90s when i read the book "A Walk in the Woods". The idea took hold and slowly bloomed into a desire to thru hike the trail. In 2017 i did a 458 mi section from Georgia to Virginia. In 2019 i am going to attempt to thru hike the At starting in early April from the approach trail.
