Difficult day for me. Distance being impacted by the ups and downs. Blisters starting and Sassafras Mtn. Made me very sassy today. I made it to Gooch Mtn Shelter. Forced myself to eat since I'm losing my appetite. It's supposed to be in the high 30's tonight so I'm preparing. I met the Running Bear today. He brought trail magic to Coopers Gap. It was very much appreciated to get me over the hump. I'm going to re-assess my distances since my body is telling me to slow down. Running Bear hiked the AT twice and wishes to give back to the kindness of strangers he received along the way. Well done Running Bear!
