The cabin was so awesome we decided to stay a second night but we still got some miles in thanks to a local shuttle driver who drove us up to Hog Pen Gap. From there we walked the trail southbound for 7 miles back to the cabin. It was a tough section but not for us since we only had light daypacks on with all our heavy gear back at the cabin. Tonight the temps are in the teens which also factored into our decision to stay a second night. We also got some trail magic today where they were handing out white blaze knit hats which came in very handy.
