3/24/21 Fairly easy hike with not a lot of climbing. Great views looking down at Fontana Lake/Dam. Wild flowers blooming including trilliums!! Got to the shelter Fontana Hilton as it is called and my trail family was there. Good to see them including Rebound, Two-Fer and Squash. They were thrilled to see Piper. Tomorrow will hike to the entrance of the Smokies than turn around to go to stay at Fontana Village and await Michele. Want Piper to walk every mile she can legally do. Then on Saturday I can have Michele meet me at the cabin and drop me off at the start of the Smokies.
