Day 6. Stealth camping. 8.6 miles. Cold and windy. Left Mountain Crossing early with a 37 pound pack. Came down a hill to Trail magic with Soup Meister from Ridge Community Church outreach. Bobby, his wife Mitzi and Nikki and others were so incredibly kind and generous. They slack packed us up from testanee gap to hogpen gap, delicious soup and potatoes and bread,great table for hikers with everything we could need. The slack packing was such a blessing-that incline was no joke and I wouldn’t have made it as far as we did today if I had to take my pack up that. At the top of the mountain we saw the first flowers of spring!! Hiked and camped with Kathy from Michigan who travels full time. Another great day.
