Day 4. Lance Creek Campsite. 8.4 miles. Started the day with Trail magic from the amazing Fresh Grounds for breakfast-banana pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruits. The last time we were on this stretch of trail it was snow flurrying with frost in the trees and I remember think g “this is the stupidest thing I have ever done” and 2.5 years later I don’t k ow if that’s changed 🤣. Took a break at Woody Gap and had more trail magic-a little Debbie from a gentleman with the sheriffs office. Taught Hudson the 12 year old hiking with his dad some stretches. A decent climb led to views at preachers rock. Campsite was good and rolling into camp early let me have time to stretch and take care of my feet. Dinner was roasted veggies couscous and deconstructed Swedish meatballs. My feet feel better than they have been. A great day!
