I woke around 5 and left when it was still kind of dark out. The sun had risen but hadn’t hit me in the valley yet. There was a very steep climb and I took an energy gel and got up and over it. I pushed 13 miles without a break. It was only 19.4 to town. I called family and chatted as I hiked. The day went by quick. I got to Dunsmuir and got myself a room for the night. I ordered pizza and laid in the ac. It was wonderful.

I zeroed and rode to Mt Shasta to do laundry and chores. I met up later with Little Bag and Slice and had dinner. I resupplied and headed back for bed.
