Day 43 (June 7, 2021)

Zero day 2 in Chama. No pictures today. Only two things to mention.

First, based on feedback from hikers ahead of me, the first segment in Colorado to Wolf Creek Pass (resupply in Pagosa Springs) has some snow but is not dangerous; it just slows you down. I will plan on less miles per day.

Second, one of my two missing packages arrived later in the day. The really good news is that it was the box with my medication. But....what to do next? With one box here, surely the second would show up tomorrow? Though not as important, it does have some dehydrated backpacker meals, a sort of luxury on the trail not available here in Chama. (Rationalize, rationalize). Another day in Chama and additional snow melt is good .... right? Besides, Feral needs a roommate right now.

Important side note: Feral had his wallet stolen at the laundromat yesterday afternoon. He is working through all that mess and getting new credit cards fast tracked here. He really does need someone for the moment, though I am positive others would help as well.
