5/14/21 Cool morning than turned out to be a beautiful day warm but not hot partly sunny. Initially a ridge walk with beautiful flowers.No water for 10 miles so had to stock up. Met Hurricane from Dallas getting water and ended up sharing the Bailey Gap Shelter with her. Nice young women. Few people seen on the trail.Most are getting rides to trail days this weekend in Damascus Virginia for partying. Getting shuttles to Damascus than get a ride back on the AT where they left it. From forested ridge to some field walking which I love. Don’t hike in those conditions in NH it’s either forest or above tree line. Last few miles were difficult they always are but these were uphill. Saw lots of Trilliums but my first painted trillium which is common in NH.
