I'm currently hanging out in the town of Tehachapi CA, waiting for a new backpack to get to me via the post office.
All is well. I'm healthy, happy, fit, and well fed. Just wanted to let followers know why my MapShare breadcrumb trail hasn't advanced in the last couple days and won't for the next couple days.
I will continue publishing previous days' blog posts and (most important) sea otter facts. I'll also probably overwrite this post with a Zero Days post at the appropriate time.

We just returned from Iowa and are caught up on your hiking progress ... your 30 and 40 mile days are amazing! The scenery must be awesome in the Sierra Nevada range, where I see that you're west of the Owens valley moving northward. I did a lot of flying there many years ago, when Owens lake had water ... as smooth and reflective as a mirror when looking at it from above. Stay well and keep trekkin'!
BTW, FG, your pix are incredibly good! It's not just your phone camera. I'm a little jelly.
It will probably be soon... Gotta talk to ULA today. about moving the new pack along ASAP. Peter and his team have been incredibly helpful, but I need to get hiking again,. In the other hand, I am also concerned about having a key piece of equipment chasing me down the Trail and never catching up. 😂

Yessir! Glad you are home again, safe and hope kids and grandkids are all thriving! Next stop for me: Bishop CA (after the first part of the Sirrra and a side trip to My. Whitney).
