5/13/21 Went to the post office to mail a few things home and a small outdoor store got some freeze dried dinners. Than got a ride from the hostel to get back on the trail. It was about 11:30. Said goodbye to the professor he is going home things he has to care of. Nice man will miss him.Trail today crossed the New River by a factory and highway eventually getting into the forest. Saw the 3 dogs with the couple heading South Slack Packing. Lots of people are doing it. I would rather avoid it. Got to a campsite with water close by. Several other campers already there.
