I spent most of today with my cousin and family after my first zero yesterday. It felt so nice to lay and do nothing in the AC and take a few baths. My cousin, BJ, and his family drove me back to the trail around 5pm after we got Popeyes popcorn shrimp, which was the first time I’ve ever eaten there.

I coordinated meeting with Mosey, Tiger Blood, and Susan, and they met me under the bridge underpass. We hung for a little bit then hiked only a short distance to a windy but flat campsite. We all chatted and had dinner and laughed and then finished with a guided meditation. Tomorrow we’ll hit the whitewater preserve and I’m very much looking forward to it.
