Forrest Gump's 2021 PCT Thru-Hike

To give a little insight into what I’m eating here’s a few photos of the food I’ve made and purchased. I have a 9 tray dehydrator and I spent countless hours cooking, dehydrating, weighing, and packaging hundreds of meals for the trail. The two main motivations for me were saving money and eating well. Mostly eating well since after shipping costs the food really won’t be super cheap. However some meals were as cheap as $1.19/meal.

It’s really important that I have a lot of real food and fresh greens and veggies on the trail this time and this will allow me to do so. It was a lot of work but I don’t think I’ll regret it. I’m hitting the trail in 2 days.

I measured out serving size too and find myself eating into the next meal as well. You know you. Congratulations on getting on!
