Left Gooch Campground before 9am. That's a record for me. Climbed Blood Mountain which was quite the climb. 4500 Ft of pure hell and then down. My blisters needed TLC so at Neels Gap I booked a room so I could soak them in Epsom Salt. I'll tape them up in the morning to start day five. Neels Gap was interesting since that is the point where hikers give up and hang their boots in a tree. Day 5 should be another adventure. Just need my feet to get better.
Forest, thank you for the tips. I'll do that more. I'm taking a recovery day tomorrow. Body needs it.
In case u have no access to news, Knicks won 6th game in a row today. You need to be aware of these things. You’re welcome.
I ended up wrecking my legs by the time I was down blood. It was my fault since I pretty much ran down. Hope you rest up the soaking helps! A few days off helped me. Also, are you airing your feet out often? Taking shoes and socks off throughout the day? I did that on the AT and managed to avoid blisters for the entire trail.
Jimmy D. Thanks for heads up on knicks. You know how much I care :(.
